-THEE ART OF-
Exhibit Policy:
Thee Art Of provides a free platform for artists to display
their work and to become a member of an art community.
Exhibition of art on Thee Art Of will always be free.  It is the
responsibility of each artist to assist with maintenance of
his or her individual web page.  Thee Art Of will update the
page at the request of each artist.  We encourage frequent
updates.  If the artist has an exhibit or other public event,
Thee Art Of will promote this event, but we can’t promote it
if we don’t know about it.  Communication is vital.  We will
send out a quarterly reminder asking for updates.  Thee Art
Of has the option of removing the artist page if the artist
shows no interest in keeping it current.

Thee Art Of has a strict policy regarding plagiarism or theft
of another’s work.  It will not be tolerated!  Any reports of
plagiarism will be taken very seriously and investigated to
determine if an offense has taken place.  If Thee Art Of
determines that a piece has been “stolen”, the offending
artist’s page will be immediately removed from the site and
the artist will no longer be a member.

Thee Art Of has made the decision not to sell or exhibit art
that portrays racism, prejudice, extreme sexual violence or
needlessly graphic pornography. The final decision of what
can be displayed on Thee Art Of website will be made by Thee
Art Of and a panel of Thee Art Of member artists.  The purpose
of this clause is certainly not to censor any artist.  Thee
Art Of chooses to provide a platform for avant-garde and
alternative art forms, categories that encompass many
different genres.  We are not easily offended and can
appreciate artistic expression in all of its forms.  However, if
we find a piece offensive it will not be displayed on our
site.

Sales and Payment Policy:
Thee Art Of exists strictly to provide exposure and a sales
outlet for artists.  The purpose of Thee Art Of is not to make
a profit, but rather to promote the work of other artists
and expand the horizons of the typical art lover.  Any profit
that is earned by Thee Art Of will be utilized to provide
enhanced services to our member artists.

It is the responsibility of the artist to determine a price for
each item for sale or, in the case of auction, a reserve price
that must be met for each piece.
Thee Art Of will take a commission of 15% on all sales made
through our site. Some trades will be considered.

Thee Art Of also has a sellers account on Ebay.  Should the
artist choose, we will provide a listing on Ebay.  The artist
must pay the cost of posting the item, which will be deducted
from the proceeds of the sale.
Payments for all art sold shall be made directly to Thee Art
Of.
Shipping is the responsibility of the artist (see Shipping Policy
below).  The artist will not be paid by Thee Art Of until we
receive notification from the buyer that the item was
received, and notification that the payment from the buyer
has cleared.
Payment from Thee Art Of to the artist shall take place
within five (5) business days following verification of the
payment and receipt of the item.  A bill of sale and
transaction history will be provided to the artist.
This sales agreement must be signed by all parties prior to
any sales transaction.

Shipping Policy:
Because of the nature of providing representation services
for artists in different parts of the world, it is difficult for
Thee Art Of to provide shipping services for all of our
members.  The following terms of membership MUST BE SATISFIED
for an artist to continue to be represented by Thee Art Of:

The artist will maintain possession of each piece displayed
until such time as that piece is sold.
If the artist sells the piece in another venue or by other
means, it is the responsibility of the artist to notify Thee
Art Of immediately so the item can be marked as sold.
When a piece is sold by Thee Art Of, we will notify the artist
within 48 hours of the sale.  IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE
ARTIST to arrange to package the item appropriately and ship
the item to the purchaser.
Shipment must take place within 5 business days of the sales
transaction.  If for any reason the item cannot be shipped
within 5 business days, the artist must notify Thee Art Of
immediately.
The artist will not be paid by Thee Art Of until we receive
notification from the buyer that the item was received.
Thee Art Of can arrange for shipping in some instances if
absolutely necessary.  If Thee Art Of pays for shipping for the
artist, the cost will be deducted from the proceeds of the
sale.
If you place an item up for sale on Thee Art Of and don’t
follow through with the terms of this agreement, your page
will be immediately removed from the site and you will no
longer be a member of Thee Art Of.
