| Thee Art Of Video: I was a B-Movie Queen: The story begins as a documentary focusing on a low-brow movie company consisting of mostly drag-queens. While in the midst of filming their latest production, bodies begin surfacing. Can they live long enough to finish the movie? Can they live long enough to finish the documentary? Will anything get finished at all? No… Probably not. I was a B-Movie Queen was produced in 1996 by Thee Art Of in cooperation with Bitch Access LTD. and The Divine Alternative System. It was the first movie we actually filmed, but never finished. After excruciating evenings of costume changes and take after take, some acceptable footage was obtained. But after all was said and done we all moved on to other separate projects and left the footage to never pass through post-production. A trailer was made, and a soundtrack almost completed by Lunegore, when it was unanimously decided to cancel the project and move on to something else. Watch the Trailer Here. The Extra Terrestrial Tabloid Alien Monster: An alien crash-lands on Earth. He is adopted by a young aristocrat and kept in secrecy. But when the alien’s out of the bag, he takes over. Enamored by the power of the media, he takes on a more human form and becomes America’s favorite talk-show host. After too many years of polluting the airwaves, his alien blood is going to spill!!! Started in 1996 after the "I was a B-Movie Queen " project was abandoned, the film was finished in ten short months. All footage was filmed by three separate art groups. The Divine Alternative System submitted stock footage that dated 1987 to 1996. Bitch Access LTD. submitted stock footage and completely edited footage that dated from 94-96. These were combined with stock footage from Thee Art Of dating 95- 96, and then watched, edited, cut-up and pasted to create the final film. The soundtrack was recorded simultaneously with the film editing by the band Lunegore, adding the atmospheric noise that any good science fiction film has to have. There were three private showings of the film with an average of only ten to fifteen people per viewing. The premier showing was dedicated to the honor of two of the main stars of the movie. The first completed copy was given to them to wish them well on their new life in Seattle. Only twenty copies were ever made from this original. Even our copy was destroyed after only three years. In 2001 one of the other remaining copies was obtained and copied. The recording was still decent but many glitches had become obvious from age. This has become one of our new priorities to digitally re-master this fine comedic science fiction masterpiece to its original glory. His Song: Still being held in pre-production, this was a screenplay we couldn't pass up. The story of a brilliant man so obsessed with the Apocalypse, he convinces himself he is the Angel Gabriel, with one soul purpose in life: to bring the end of the world. But what happens when life catches up with you instead?… |
